How a Final-Year Student Got Noticed on LinkedIn—With a Little Help from Dynal.AI
Standing out on LinkedIn isn’t easy, especially when you’re just starting your career. For many final-year university students, translating the hard work of a capstone project into a post that recruiters and professionals actually notice can feel overwhelming.
Daniel M., a soon-to-be graduate in Computer Science from the University of Manchester, faced exactly this challenge. Despite building a genuinely useful app for his fellow students, Daniel felt unsure about how to share his achievement in a way that was both accessible and engaging. In this case study, Daniel shares how he used Dynal.AI to transform his project write-up into a LinkedIn post that caught the attention of alumni, recruiters, and peers—proving that with the right words and a little AI-powered support, your work can get the recognition it deserves.
Case Study: How I Landed Interviews by Leveling Up My LinkedIn With Dynal.AI
By Daniel M., Final-Year Computer Science Student
I used to think that if I worked hard, the right opportunity would find me. But as graduation crept closer, I realized that wasn’t enough—especially in tech, where everyone seems to have a side project, internship, or hackathon win to post about.Scrolling through LinkedIn was honestly intimidating. My classmates were sharing polished posts about their summer internships or open-source projects, while I wasn’t sure how to even start talking about my own work. I didn’t want to sound like I was bragging, but I didn’t want to be invisible, either.
A friend told me about Dynal.AI after I confessed I’d rewritten my “About” section five times and still hated it. He said, “Just upload what you have and let it help—seriously, it’s like having a career center in your laptop.”So I decided to give it a shot.
The First Thing I Uploaded
I started by uploading:
- My CV
- A project write-up from my capstone (an app that helps students swap textbooks)
- My current (awkward and too brief) LinkedIn “About” section
My Dynal.AI Prompt
Here’s what I asked:
Hi! I’m a final-year Computer Science student at the University of Manchester. I’m looking for my first graduate software engineering job. I’ve uploaded my CV and my capstone project.
Can you help me:
- Rewrite my LinkedIn “About” section so it feels authentic and confident, but not boastful?
- Turn my capstone project into a LinkedIn post that would interest recruiters and alumni?
- Suggest a thank-you note I can send to my internship mentor?
I want to sound like myself—friendly, motivated, and a bit introverted. Thanks!
Within minutes, Dynal.AI gave me three things that changed my job search:
- A New “About” Section: Suddenly, I had a summary that actually sounded like me! Just more fluent and sounding a lot friendlier and less awkward.

For reference, this was my initial 'About' section: Final year computer science student at University of Manchester. Interested in software engineering and web apps. Have done an internship and some projects. Looking for graduate roles starting this autumn.
I know, I suck at writing :(
2. A Capstone Project Post:
This was the highlight of my Dynal.AI experience! I was super impressed by how Dynal.AI generated an authentic and thoughtful LinkedIn post copy, together with matching visuals in under 5 mins. I opened a new project and typed in this prompt:
'I’m a final-year Computer Science student at the University of Manchester. I’m looking for my first graduate software engineering job. I’ve uploaded my CV and my capstone project. Help me turn my capstone project into a LinkedIn post that would interest recruiters and alumni.'
I then uploaded my CV and capstone project under 'Add sources', selected 'English' as the language and chose an 'Authentic' tone. They have so many tones to choose from, including 'Candid', 'Inspiring' and 'Professional' etc! I highly recommend you to check it out for yourself :) Finally, I selected '5 cards' for my LinkedIn post and clicked 'Generate'.

I was absolutely blown away by the results. Here is the post copy that Dynal.AI generated for me:

I found it really impressive that Dynal.AI was able to extract the most important details from the uploaded sources and include them in the LinkedIn copy, while sounding natural and not overly robotic. It even ended with a question to boost engagement - something that I definitely would not have thought to include in my usual LinkedIn posts!

The accompanying visuals were excellent as well. As someone who has never designed a post and has no idea how to use Canva, Dynal.AI was a lifesaver. The images were way better than anything I could have designed (and I probably would have spent hours on a single image!). I particularly appreciated the consistent font and neutral colours across all 5 images, as well as the accompanying elements that clearly brought across the message I wanted to convey.
3. A Thank-You Note:

Dynal.AI also crafted a simple but thoughtful message which I sent to my mentor from last summer. He replied, “Thanks for this, Daniel! Let me know if you ever need a reference.”
The Results
- I landed three interviews within two weeks of posting about my capstone.
- Alumni reached out, saying they remembered struggling with textbook costs too.
- A recruiter commented, “Love how clearly you explain your project—let’s connect.”
- For the first time, I felt like I was showing up as my real self, not hiding behind generic words.
What I Learned
- You don’t have to shout to get noticed—you just need to share your story.
- The right words (and visuals) open doors.
- Asking for help is smart, not weak.
If you’re a student (or honestly, anyone job hunting), I can’t recommend Dynal.AI enough. It made the hardest part—talking about myself—actually feel doable. And it made generating accompanying visuals for my LinkedIn post as easy as 1,2,3! I love how I can focus on writing more code instead of stressing about writing engaging copy for my LinkedIn post because I know Dynal.AI has got it covered :)
